Living Lightly Advent Calendar!

This is NOT a drill! I repeat, this is NOT a drill!

We are less than a month away from Christmas!

That means, now is a perfect time to start planning all the family fun you’ll have as you head into the holiday season. Traditions, treats, and new adventures are all clamoring for your time and attention. Magic and wonder and fun… and of course the occasional meltdown from at least one person in your family.

But before you get started, might I suggest a few things? Two, in fact:

  1. Don’t overdo it. The holidays aren’t magical if you are all worn out and burnt out and cranky. Leave space to breathe, time to rest, and room for spontaneity. Enjoy the simple things and don’t get caught in the hype that says you have to cram every moment full of “joy.”
  2. Be thoughtful. Consider the ramifications of your gift giving, celebrating, and merriment. Think through how to do things in a simpler, more Earth-friendly, and –dare I say it — more meaningful way.

To that end, I give you:

The Living Lightly Family Advent Calendar!

December will be full already, so I offer simple and meaningful ways to spend time enjoying nature, give gifts in an eco-friendly way, and reduce your footprint this holiday season. Plus, I hope it’s fun for your family as well!

Check it out and let me know what you think!
